Struggling with pain can feel like a never-ending battle. You grit your teeth, maybe you pop pills, whatever way you choose, you try to push through, but sometimes it feels like the pain is winning. Well, guess what? You don’t have to fight this alone!
Here’s the thing: pain isn’t just physical. Our minds play a HUGE role in how we experience it. That’s where I, your friendly neighborhood EMDR and hypnotherapist, come in!
Let’s Talk EMDR For Help Managing Pain
Imagine EMDR as a deep cleaning for your brain. We work together to identify any past experiences or emotions that might be fueling your pain. Then, using eye movements (or other bilateral stimulation), we help your brain process and release those unwanted feelings. This can significantly reduce the emotional charge behind your pain, making it feel more manageable.

Hypnotherapy’s Got Your Back (Literally!)
Hypnotherapy is all about harnessing the power of your mind to create positive change. Think of it like a super-relaxing guided meditation. ♀️ While you’re nice and chilled, we can plant helpful suggestions that empower you to manage your pain. This could be things like:
Creating a safe haven in your mind, a pain-free space you can retreat to for relief. ️
Learning self-hypnosis techniques to manage pain flares on your own. 🪄
Shifting your focus away from the pain and towards something more positive.
The Best Part? They Work Together!
EMDR can help clear the emotional clutter, and hypnotherapy can build your pain management toolkit. This powerful combo can give you back control and make living with pain a whole lot easier.

EMDR For Pain Can Help With The Suffering
My client had tried everything they could think of to help them manage their pain following cancer treatment. They had experienced the power of EMDR and hypnotherapy with me previously and because of the success they had experienced, letting go of past trauma and emotions, they believed the same techniques could be helpful for pain management.
We had a couple of sessions together and I produced a soothing, healing recording for them and they are now feeling so very much better and definitely managing the pain and discomfort which has reduced significantly to an almost unnoticeable level.
